The Annual Big Kahuna is Tudor House’s signature community celebration and fundraiser, supporting our mission to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention through education, outreach, and the Louis Tudor Memorial Scholarship.
This high-energy event brings together families, swimmers, friends, and supporters for a day full of fun, connection, and purpose. From exciting races and lively entertainment to delicious food and community spirit, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Youth Mental Health Month
Youth Mental Health Awareness Month happens every February. The Suicide Prevention Council of Roanoke Valley, which Tudor House is a proud member, is hosting two contests this year in observation of this important month: one group contest, and one individual contest! We will be giving away a total of $1,200 in cash prizes.
The group contest is open to youth-serving organizations (e.g. schools, faith-based youth groups, youth sports teams, or any that work directly with youth). Three winning groups will be awarded $250 each! The individual contest is open to youth ages 5 – 18.
Three winning groups will be awarded $250 each. Three individuals in each of the three age categories will receive $50 each. All winners will be notified by 3/23/26.

Hidden in Plain Sight Event: BRBH
Looking for resources to better understand the challenges teens face today? Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare is hosting Hidden in Plain Sight: Spot Signs of Risky Teen Behaviors.
This FREE, interactive evening is for parents and caregivers (18+). You’ll have the chance to explore a mock teen bedroom to identify hidden warning signs of risky behaviors like vaping, alcohol use, sexting, and struggles with anxiety or depression. The program also features M.P.O. Smith of the Culpeper Police Department and a panel of local professionals, plus raffles and giveaways.
